How to Gaze at the Sun

In this post, I am going to teach you how to stare at the sun safely for your health and well being. Everything in the universe is created from sound and light energy, so staring at the sun is like taking in pure energy straight from the source. Many people in India have been studied who have sungazed and do not require food anymore because they are taking all of their energy in from the sun and converting it for use in the body. Just know that food should not be our only method of nutrition. The sun is one of those alternative forms. Do not be afraid of it or block yourself from it by using sunscreens. The sun itself will not cause cancer, if anything, the chemicals in the sunblocks will cause the cancers that people are so afraid of. Also, do not wear sunglasses. They filter out the important light spectrum that we need to survive and thrive optimally. Sungazing is an ancient practice, and should be practiced regularly to receie it's many benefits. Everyone has their own personal experience with it, but I urge you to try it and see how it goes. Just remember, do not hold fear in your heart for the sun keeps all life alive and thriving. Without it, we would not be here. Everything and everyone depends on everything else in the universe. Express love for the beauty of light while you stare at the sun because gratitude is important.

Benefits from Sungazing
-Increased energy*
-Decreased need for food*
-Improved eyesight*
-Increased spiritual activation and connection with higher self*
-Chakra activation*
-Elevated mood*
-Cure all diseases*
-Ancient practice of connecting to source*
-Best of all..... IT'S FREE!
(*these claims are not scientifically backed)

You want to sungaze an hour after the sun has risen, or an hour before the sunsets. You can check your local times to see when it is safest. During this hour gap, the UV index is at 0. The sun will NOT HARM your eyes. If anything, it will improve your eyesight!

Directions
1. Gaze only an hour after sunrise or an hour before sunset
2. Stare directly at the sun with eyes open (you can blink of course). Start with 10 seconds per day and increase your time by 10 seconds every day. If the clouds are out then repeat the time from the last sunny day that you observed. Sungaze everyday until you have reached 45 minutes, then do a 15 minute maintenance sungaze per day.
3. When you gaze, stand on sand or dirt. This is to fully ground the bodies electromagnetic energies while taking in the suns energy. If sand isn't available, stand on these in order: bare dirt, mud, road, concrete (also try not to stand in water, or walk on grass or rocks)
4. Go for a 45 minute walk DAILY in addition to your sungazing practice. Try to do this barefoot. If you do barefoot walking, your feet might be sore for a few weeks, but you will get used to it. "If mind accepts, body will adapt. If body adapts, mind accepts"

TIPS:
-Sunrise is stronger than sunset
-If sungaze time is too long, you can split between sunrise and sunset
-Soften your gaze around the sun, and don't focus on one exact point

Let me know if you have any questions about this wonderful practice :)
Remember that you are a sovereign being of light, and are oh so powerful. Shine as bright as the sun everyday, and pave the way for love and positive change.

Acupuncture: Connecting to the Mothership

Acupuncture is an amazing form of Chinese medicine that is still done all around the world today. It may sound scary since it involves needles, but they don't even hurt at all and are smaller than a strand of hair! The way that it works is basically needles are placed on special points of the body to stimulate the bodies chi. Chi is our life force energy that actually always flowing through our bodies on a subtle level, and there are many different pathways along the body that connect to different organs. These pathways are called meridians. Basically, when we have stagnant chi in the body, disease and pain occur since our energy flow becomes blocked. Acupuncture helps to naturally move stagnation and help keep the life force flowing freely. My acupuncturist calls it "connecting to the mothership" , because it is truly a healing, and wonderful experience. It has been shown to cure and help a multitude of pains and other health issues. I will list more of these below, but before that, I wanted to share my personal story with my first acupuncture session.

When I first got my acupuncture a few months ago, I wasn't really sure what to expect. Basically I went in, filled out some paperwork, and waited in the office. The practitioner doing my acupuncture was a lady named Erin Prucha. She had me go into one of the rooms and I got cozy under a warm blanket. Next, she evaluated the pulses of the different organs of my body, to see where my energy was weak. She also looked at my tongue, and evaluated my overall skin tone. Erin used these methods to help determine which points she would use. She told me that she would do an overall balancing of my bodies energy, and that sounded good to me! She inserted around 16 needles in various parts of my bodies including the ear, arm, wrist, leg, and foot. I couldn't even feel them being inserted at all! It amazed me because I thought that I was going to feel something at least. After this, the lights were dimmed some calm music was put on. Erin gave me a doorbell remote just in case I got uncomfortable or needed her for whatever reason. This made me feel very at ease. She then left me in the room to relax and let the needles do their work. I just closed my eyes and took slow deep breaths. After the first minute, I felt a tingling flow comes from my temple and going down to my chin. It almost felt as if someone was pouring a cooling silver liquid down my face. It was an incredible feeling. Then at one point, I felt that I didn't need to breathe anymore. It was the most bizarre thing I have ever experienced. My breath resumed, but at a very slow and steady pace. I just laid their peacefully and felt so at ease with everything. During this time I had an out of body experience where I literally felt as if I was a foot above my body. Everything felt amazing and I was in pure bliss. I almost felt that I was in another world experiencing pure love. I could feel the energies flowing through my body strongly, and was just enjoying every second of it. When Erin came back into the room to remove the needles, I asked for another 10 minutes. Teehee. When she came back, she quickly removed my needles and told me to take my time getting up. Overall, it was a once in a lifetime experience that I am blessed to have come upon. Since my first time, I have had two additional treatments, and they have all been different but very healing. After all of these sessions I feel vibrant and very connected to myself. Try acupuncture!

Where I got the acupuncture: I received the acupuncture in Santa Rosa, California. A wonderful lady, Erin Prucha, helped heal me, and she owns her on practice and consults with Chinese herbs and nutrition as well. Her practice is in a place called the Soul Shine Wellness Center, where there is also chiropractic, x-ray free breast thermography, and massage. I would highly recommend her if you are in the area and want to give acupuncture a try! Her treatments are very effective, and her magic touch does wonders to the bodies energy.

This picture is just an example to show how many points occur throughout the body that can be stimulated with the needles. There are also many more towards the lower extremities of the body.

The Chakra's: Subtle Human Energy System (Part 1)

Throughout all of our bodies, we have seven main energy centers. Each of these centers are connected to our major organs & glands, and can govern different aspects of our body. The seven energy centers are known as the chakras. Chakra is a sanskrit word meaning "wheel." We can think of each of the chakras as spinning wheels of energy that align to different colors and vibrations. We can take in energy through each of these spinning wheels in order to fuel our bodies, and reach certain levels of vibration that can heal the organs and keep our overall bodily systems healthy and happy. Our chakra's can help explain why when we walk into a room, we can instantly feel connected or disconnected from people. We are all emitting subtle frequencies which affect each other everyday.

This post will be for introducing each of the chakras, and will help you to understand their meaning.

In this image below, it shows how each chakra is rooted in different aspects of life, how they relate to the various colors of the rainbow, and also have individual symbolic meanings too.

Here is some information regarding each of the charkras, their location, & what parts of the body they govern:
1- Root Chakra: This is where we hold our fears. It is our security and our grounding relationship to trust, money, and our home. It is also known as our base chakra and directly relates to our physical strength, energy, and vitality. This chakra relates to our connection to earth, and the grounding to the material plane
*Location: the perineum
*Governs: lymph, blood, skeletal system

2- Sacral/Spleen Chakra: This is our place of sexuality. This is where our desires and pleasure are rooted. This is where we feel issues of guilt, blame, and control. It contains our abilities to be social and feel intimacy
*Location: inches below the navel
*Governs: reproductive system, lumbar, sexual organs

3- Solar Plexus/Navel Chakra: This is where our personal power comes from. Our intellect, egotistical power, and confidence are rooted in this chakra. It also governs our mental activity and is mainly associated with our personality, which we call the "ego"
*Location: the solar plexus
*Governs: muscular system, skin, sight, intestine, stomach, liver

4- Heart Chakra: This is where we hold our love and relationships. This chakra resonates the energies of love, abundance, and prosperity. It is also associated with our emotions of happiness, honesty, joy, compassion, generosity, and understanding. We forge loving relationships with this energy center, and it can help explain why it is hard to lose a loved one or go through break-ups
*Location: center of the chest
*Governs: heart, circulation, lungs

5- Throat Chakra: This is where we express actions of communication and self expression. This chakra is related to creativity and the ability to create in the physical world. Other expressions such as emotions, desires, passions, and speech can stem from the throat too. Listening to our intuition is also a grounding aspect of this chakra
*Location: base of the throat
*Governs: throat, neck, arms, hands

6- Brow Chakra: This chakra is related to our inner level of being, which we would call the spirit. This is where our consciousness sits and can govern our emotions, and lead us to take certain actions in life. It is referred to as our third eye, which can see the all knowing truth. It relates to our dreams of life, perceptions, and wisdom
*Location: above & between the eyebrows
*Governs: forehead, nervous system, ears, temples, nose

7-Crown Chakra: The crown chakra is associated with our feeling of "onesness" to the universe. It can control our perceptions of being united or separate from one another. Since our root chakra connects us to mother earth, this chakra on the opposite spectrum, connects us to the heavenly father. It is said that this center is our connection to god, and this is where a majority of the cosmic energy of the universe can be harnessed to nourish our entire bodies and each chakra individually
*Location: top of the head
*Governs: pineal gland, brain, eyes

Here is a picture demonstrating the different endocrine glands that each chakra is associated with:
Hopefully this introduction has helped to teach you what the chakras are, and how they relate to our experiences and the body itself. In my next post to come in the future, I will talk about ways to increase the energy into the chakras, and how we can become more connected with our bodies and the environment around us.

Electromagnetic Health

With the rise of technology and constant changes in the energy structure of our world, we are constantly being exposed to many electrical fields. The constant bombardment of these fields affect our own well being since we are electrical beings and our bodies operate on electrical impulses. Electromagnetic Fields can be a type of pollution to our bodies, even though they are invisibile to our eyes. Different types of EMF's include cell phones, wireless frequencies, electrical grids, computers, microwaves, refrigerators, and many more.

When we sleep, our bodies attempt to regenerate cells and detoxify from the previous day. During the waking hours it can be hard to avoid EMF's, but while we sleep, it is the most important to have the least amount of interaction with any negative energy fields.

Our bodies need a break from these fields, and if we are overexposed to EMF's, issues can arrise such as:
  • Headaches
  • Hyperactivity
  • Nightmares
  • Depression & fatigue
  • Eyestrain
  • Muscle cramps
Follow some of these tips to help make your sleep more restful, and to help you feel better in the morning!
  • Turning off and unplugging everything electrical in your sleeping area, including your computer, WI-FI, & cell phone
  • Turning off all the fuses at night (or at least those that are in your bedroom)
  • Shielding your bed with a special metalized fabric to protect yourself from harmful frequencies that can disrupt cellular communication in the body
  • At minimum, moving your bed so that your head is at least 3-6 feet from all electrical outlets
  • Sleeping on a non-metal bed and mattress
Even if you can't incorporate everything that was mentioned, it is good to at least try what you can and see if it helps your sleep and overall well-being.

For me, I turn off my cell phone when I can, & unplug anything attached to the wall outlets in my room. I always get nice restful sleep and feel super energized in the morning.
